FMUB Cooperation Team Focuses on Strengthening Collaboration to Achieve and Support the Three Principles of Higher Education

Collaboration and cooperation are essential to achieve an organization’s vision, mission, and goals. Thus, the National and International Cooperation Team – Research and Community Service Agency, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (BPPM – FKUB), held the “Socialization of National and International Cooperation” for all Heads of Department Heads, Heads of Undergraduate Study Programs and Profession, and Heads of the Agency within the FMUB. This activity was held on Wednesday (18/8/22) in the Abu Dhabi Room, Grand Mercure Mirama Hotel, Malang City.

The chairman of the committee, dr. Happy Kurnia Permatasari, Ph.D in her report, said that the purpose of this activity was to socialize the flow of cooperation, both the initiation flow and the collaboration report. FMUB cooperation has increased from year to year. However, there is still much potential that can be explored. There are still many Study Programs that have not actively collaborated both domestically and abroad. Improving collaboration is needed for accreditation, quality improvement, and ranking in FMUB or at Universitas Brawijaya.

With this socialization, it is hoped that this step can make it easier for all parties to carry out initiation and cooperation reports. So, the cooperation in FMUB is increasing and getting better.

The Dean of FMUB, Dr. dr. Wisnu Barlianto, MSi., Med., Sp.A (K), in his speech, also said that during the Transitional period of Universitas Brawijaya as PTNBH, cooperation was a strategic effort that we needed to develop. This all depends on the support of all officials from all study programs.

Our effort in collaboration and cooperation also leads us to win 11 categories in Giraffe Awards 2022. This achievement can support the realization of the vision and quality improvement in FMUB as a medical and health education institution pioneer and reformer with an international reputation. In addition, collaboration and cooperation between universities, industry, and other partners is an attempt to solve institutional isolation.

Several speakers presented several materials at this event, including 1. Tips for Building Domestic Cooperation by Dr. dr. Viera Wardhani, M.Kes, FISQua, 2. Tips for Building Foreign Cooperation by Karuniawan Puji Wicaksono, SP., MP., Ph.D. (Director of the Directorate of Cooperation and Internationalization of Universitas Brawijaya) and Socialization of KPI and Cooperation Tools by dr. Perdana Aditya Sp.PD (K).
